Calendula or pot marigold is widely loved flower crop which produces attractive yellow colour flower.
Calendula has medicinal properties and is widley grown as as kitchen herb as its leaves and petals are used to flavour soups and curries.
Calendula can be grown by swoing seed and transplanting youg seedling in pots at 4-6 leaf stage in your home garden or farm.
Blooming time- 2.5 to 3 months after sowing
For the flowers to bloom throughout the season add vermi compost or farm yard manure to the pot.
Cut off the faded flowers which in turn help grow new bloom.
